5 STAPLES

Since April of this year I have been working closely with a high performance life coach, I’m currently a member of a men’s mastermind group, and I’ve recently started working one on one with a nutrition coach.

Initially I chose to embark on each of these experiences for different reasons. Overtime though, as I continue to do the work and go through each of the processes separately, I’ve come to discover that there are 5 underlying, foundational principles that they all have in common.

Although, somewhat foreign at first, these 5 principles have become staples in my life. I now apply them to ALL areas; fitness, business, lifestyle, relationships, etc. and I wanted to share them with you.

The 5 Staples:

Structure – establish a strong foundation and create a plan – goals, ideas, determination, and hard work are nothing without framework.

Accountability – have someone there (a coach, mentor, partner, friend) to call you out on your bull shit, to help you push yourself past your fears, and to keep your head in the game.

Prioritize – it’s impossible to do everything at once – do what’s most important, once that’s finished move on to whatever is next.

Consistency – establish routines and habits that you can implement daily regardless of where you are or what you have going on.

Help – have the humility to know that it is ok to ask for help, seeking guidance and expertise from others who have more experience than you.
